MachinableWax.com is dedicated to providing the best in prototyping materials. Over the past year, we have developed an entirely new line of machinable wax that takes advantage of several new materials that have just become available. This year we have also made substantial investments in the mechanical aspects of making our wax. New ovens and other technology are allowing us to produce a consistent level of quality that you won't find elsewhere. We think that the results are impressive. Our customers are telling us the same!
While other companies may choose to source their ingredients from low price suppliers, we make sure that harmful or hazardous chemicals don't make it into our products or get used in our process. This may cost us more, but we don't allow chemicals like chlorinated paraffins and other harmful chemicals in our products... or even in the building. You can be confident that our machinable wax is safe and user friendly. We believe that we can continue to do this and still keep our prices down. Every ingredient that goes into our products is manufactured in the U.S.
Each new product that we develop goes through rigorous lab tests for melt point, viscosity, hardness, flexural strength, and ductility. Before one of our new creations gets the final nod of approval, it has to pass the "machinability test". We do the lab tests and the machining tests right here so that we can verify the results under various machining conditions. This is why you will hear our applications engineers talk about tooling, feed-rates, spindle speeds, etc. when you call and ask about which wax to use for your specific application.
We stock a large inventory of machinable wax for immediate shipment. If you need a size that is not included on our standard price page, please contact us for a quote. We can cut your piece from a larger block and have it sent to you right away. We don't charge extra for special sizes. Our products are normally shipped within 24 hours and most are sent via UPS ground or Priority Mail. Occasionally, it may be better to ship larger orders by common carrier (truck). Either way, we'll let you know exactly when your order is shipped and when you can expect to receive it.
Our Guarantee
We promise that you'll be happy with the product and service that you receive from us or we will make it right. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, simply return the unused portion to us within 90 days of purchase. Include a brief explanation and we will issue a full refund for the unused portion of your order.
